If you use DALI ballasts, you can not only control DALI ballasts by individual address (one out of 64), but you can also make light groups in PROSOFT. You can define how many dimmers you want to reserve per TDS13621 DALI interface. It is only that number of outputs which is considered used by the central unit and not anymore 64.
So imagine you defined 10 groups of 6 DALI lights (drivers) and 4 individual dimmers; this interface will not consume 64 but only 10+4 outputs from the total available of 500 outputs.
This also means that in this case, for example, you can use 20 DALI interfaces TDS13621, each consuming only 14 outputs, which is a total of 20 x 14 = 280 DALI drivers controlled. That is already far beyond the limit of one interface's capacity but no issue for the central unit.
Remark: The DALI standard doesn’t allow more than 16 groups in the total of available addresses per DALI net, but the advantage of using PROSOFT with its ability to form additional groups offers more flexibility.
