TDS12070: OPUS

The OPUS touch screen is a flat, wall mounted, 7" touch screen which can be installed in about all indoor environments. Be it your central control screen or be it mainly your indoor video door phone station. It can be used for communication with an external video door phone system that runs on SIP.
SIP involves a 3th party SIP server whereon both the OPUS and the external door phone unit needs an account. That SIP server will handle the "finding" of both devices and later on, the communication between them.

See also Video Door Phone Compatibility Tests for more information about tested outdoor units with OPUS.

OPUS Configuration in PROSOFT

OPUS01
First you need to add the OPUS as an input interface in the PROSOFT - inputs menu ( click 'edit' - 'inputs' -'new' - 'TDS12070' - 'OK'). Then you can custom configure the OPUS video phone and home automation functions.
Remark: The video phone functions are optional and only necessary if you use the OPUS also for VoIP SIP communication.
On the OPUS configuration screen, you can configure the two different application groups:
- the configuration of the VoIP SIP functionalities
- the configuration of the home automation functions (items to be shown on OPUS).

Configuration of the OPUS VoIP SIP functionalities in PROSOFT

OPUS02
On the top right side (see capture above) you can configure the door phone unit details. Any external door phone needs to communicate its voice over SIP.

Use Video stream from SIP call (recommended)
Some door phone systems are also capable to send their video stream over SIP. It is recommended to use this feature when available because this improves the lip (voice) syncing with the image.

Remark: both the outdoor unit and the SIP server needs to support the 'early media' feature for video stream from SIP call mode.

Direct SIP
Some door phone systems support direct SIP. With this feature it is possible to leave out the SIP server in the network. Therefore, in direct SIP mode, the calling party (the outdoor unit) needs to know the IP address of the destination.

When direct SIP is selected you will only be able to specify the port number. The IP address of the OPUS and the given chosen number will need to be configured into the outdoor unit (that need to support direct SIP mode).

Sip Server
The IP address of the SIP server (not available when direct SIP mode is selected).
Sip Port
The port number of the SIP server or the Port number for OPUS in case of direct SIP.
User ID
The SIP id (number that needs to be dialed in)
Password
password associated with the SIP id which is configured in the SIP Server.

Configuration of the OPUS home automation functions in PROSOFT

OPUS03

By default PROSOFT has generated all home automation rooms and their visible functions, just as you want to be able to control everything from the OPUS. But you may like to hide some rooms or functions in a room. At the other hand, you may also prefer to custom sort the rooms and their home automation functions. Frequently used rooms on the top and less important more deeper in the menu. The same sort possibilities are there for the functions. The sorting is particularly useful in projects with a high number of rooms.
e.g. If the OPUS is installed in the living room, the user may prefer to have that room name on top of the list and in the functions, it may be better to have some main light circuits and the shades on top...

Rooms

By default the rooms are all checked. You can unselect one or more if you like. To change the sorting order, click the room you want to be lower or higher in the list and slide it to the desired position.
Remark: It may be necessary to do this in multiple steps if you want to move a room name from one PROSOFT screen to another, above or below.

Changing visibility
Check or uncheck the checkbox in the visibility column for the appropriate room
Changing the sort order
Click the room name, do not release the mouse button. And move it to the correct place.

Items

In this list, the same customising features are available like for the rooms (see above). You can sort every item within its own group (lights remain in the Lights group, Motors stay in the Motors group, etc...). See the screen capture below as an illustration for the reason why this is so.
TDS12070 LowRes 01
e.g. You can only sort the light circuits 'Main, LED strip, TW spots and Colour strip' within the Lights group. All light circuit items always remain together on the OPUS menu. The same limitation applies for the other groups like Motors, Moods, etc...

Changing visibility
Check or uncheck the checkbox in the visibility column for the appropriate item
Changing the sort order
Press on the item, do not release the mouse button. And move it to the correct place. Items can't be taken out of their item group.

Remark: The sorting order of the item groups can't be changed. On the OPUS screen, the 'Lights' group is always displayed first, then to the right 'Moods', etc.
If a group doesn't contain any function, this group will not be shown (in that room) of the OPUS screen.
e.g. In a room with only one light and one motorised shade, only be the titles 'Lights' and 'Motors' will be shown on the OPUS screen of that room.

Configuration of the outdoor SIP door phone unit in PROSOFT

IPCamera01
The outdoor door phone unit is added to the TELETASK system as an IP camera. In PROSOFT this setting can be found in the 'Extra' menu/IP Camera.

 Important
The order of the cameras is important. In the OPUS when pressing the 'Cameras' icon, they are shown based on the numbering of the camera list of PROSOFT.

General

Camera name
Name of the door phone unit. E.g. 'Main gate'

Video settings

Camera Url
link to the video stream of the door phone. This stream will be used for the camera view in OPUS as well during SIP calls when the option to "use video stream from SIP call" is unchecked in PROSOFT.

;Motion JPEG mode;
. Still Image: The provider URL will be demanded a single image. The video stream is made by continuously demanding new still images from the camera (the least recommended solution).
. Server streaming: The provider URL is fetching a mjpeg stream (preferred way of working; voice not synchronised but only with limited delay).
. Real time streaming: based on the RTSP protocol. In this case, the stream must be H264 video encoding (to be set in the camera if available). H264 has the disadvantage that the stream is slightly delayed and no synchronisation with the audio (voice).
;Authentication:
An authentication password may be necessary for accessing the video stream. Leave the fields empty in case no authentication has been configured in the camera

Extra VoiP Settings for this camera

Voip call ID
SIP ID of the outdoor unit.
DTMF accept call
not for OPUS
DTMF end call
not for OPUS

Door opener settings

TELETASK function
Select a function that can be executed from the OPUS during a call to open the front door or what was configured in the function.
DTMF door code
Send a DTMF code to the video outdoor phone to open the door.

Remark: The video outdoor phone must support this; the outdoor unit need to have a relay contact that will close or open by this.

OPUS Q&A

Q: I have to integrate 2 video doorphones with a TELETASK system. Is it possible for the OPUS to support this configuration ? I understand that the first camera is considered as a video doorphone?
A:The OPUS doesn’t know how many outdoor unit there are. It will look to the incoming SIP ID and will take the corresponding camera, so it’s no problem to use two outdoor units.

Q:Is it possible to modify the OPUS IP adress or this adress is only set by DHCP ?
A:Sorry it’s not possible, the only thing you can do is to ‘reserve’ an IP address on your router, so it will always get the same (but not all providers support this possibility)

Q: I had some difficulties with the OPUS configuration update. I was obliged to make factory resets to be sure that the updates are taken into account.
A: Updates should go automatically, use PROSOFT 3.8.1.3 or higher.

Q:I don't understand how the link is done between PROSOFT configuration and an OPUS (no OPUS IP address in the PROSOFT configuration). So I have a project with 3x OPUS. How to distinguish them?
A:Each OPUS should have another name in PROSOFT, after you entered the IP address of the central unit in PROSOFT, you will be asked with one to use (if there is more then one)
If you have 3x OPUS you have to make 3 configs!
